Design Requirements
Students will be require to design a multimedia product that conveys "Cyber Expressions".
Student products should express issues that are important to teenagers, whether that be political, environmental, or social.
This is a chance for pupils to voice what they hold important to a wider community. Selected works and finalists will be presented in a major exhibition in the Ipswich Art Gallery attracting large audiences during the Ipswich festival.
It will require flair and imagination, while also addressing particular functional and technical aspects.
Animation
Prizes will be awarded for excellence in 2D or 3D animation. Animations are required to be from two to five minutes in length.
Submission can include works produced in Flash or in 3D programs (Eg: 3D Studio Max). Students may feel that they would like to a stop motion piece (Eg: clay animation), this will also be accepted by the judges.
Computer Art
Demonstration of creativity and technical skills in the production of visuals.
Examples: A photograph that is manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. An illustration that is hand-drawn and then edited in Photoshop.
Students may feel that they would like to put a collection of images into a Flash or Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation to convey their message.
Other students may feel that a single visual portrays their message. Judges will except a single image or a collection of images.
Submission can include works produced in programs including but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D Studio Max, LightWave and CorelDraw.
We ask that with every submission students write a synopsis on their work that outlines what message their product is conveying. No more than 500 words.
